mp3skyline, mp3xclusive, Skyshare Manager v0.9.0????

i have tried to download on mp3skyline and get redirected to mp3xclusive, when i go to download i get a message saying i need the latest version of Skyshare Manager v0.9.0. i upload this, i try and download and i am asked to upload the latest version of Skyshare Manager again. am i doing something wrong; is mp3skyline/ mp3exclusive back and running again if not do does anyone have an idea when? thanks b

not sure what all the trouble is about at this point, the site is COMPLETELY back up to speed with WAY FASTER downloads, a handy browser that downloads multiple files, and works just fine as long as you FOLLOW instructions, and have your Java updated if you are a pc user. PLUS, MP3xclusive/Mp3sklyline MORE than reimbursed my account, plus sent me some free $20 vouchers for being so patient. That MORE than makes up for the downtime they experienced. I am SURE that the site is working better than ever at this moment, and I am MORE than happy at the reimbursement I have received so far. Most sites just go bottom up, and you don't get nothing back except $.20 after some multi-million dollar civil suit is raised. At least, Mp3xclusive is still here, and MORE than willing to make up for any losses by their downtime. Mp3Xclusive is still #1 with me!!! however they do need to clean up their double files listed under ALOT of titles (O:

Well today it looks like both mp3skyline and mp3xclusive websites have totally disappeared. Skyshare manager doesn't start up either. If it is the end, then I'm relieved as I only had $1.15 left in my account so no big loss. I hope those with bigger balances are able to get a refund. Like everyone else I could never download any songs once they switched over to MP3xlcusive and their stupid skyshare software. Time to look for a new website I guess. Pity as when I was using mp3skyline I never had any problems direct downloading from their website.

mp3xclusive is a RIP OFF be warned

Hi. This is a warning to anyone out there. DON'T ADD ANY MONEY to mp3xclusive.com. It doesn't work and they never get back to your emails. Strange how the one thing that does work is that they take your money from your account. Be warned it's a con, and whilst it's very tempting as they have so many tunes it's a waste of time, and in my case money too.

Hi everybody, I've heard these music sites you're all talking about really suck, although I've been looking for an album and I can't find it anywhere else because it was a live radio rip. My question/request is. Mp3xclusive.com and Skyshare sucks!

How do you get credit on the stupid "new" Mp3xclusive.com, they keeps on giving me the message to try again soon. You can't even re-download songs you've already bought. This Skyshare really sucks and it is much slower and you can't forward the song when it's playing. Mp3skyline was a great site and I never had any problems. www.juno.co.uk and www.junodownload.com is more expensive but, much more reliable and much bigger database.

Forget Lavamus, MP3Skyline

Forget Lavamus, MP3Skyline had the best selection in Electronic music, period. Very disappointing they're using this bizarre Skyshare manager now, which I will not be using. I really hope it's only a temporary solution until they go back to direct downloads.

$110 in credits down the toilet...but good news

Its true...my new adjusted credit amount on mp3exclusive is $110 as I had just handed these d-bags $45 just before the site went down. ouch!! Ditto to all complaints about skyshare manager...totally useless, but I signed up for mp3aim.com and the house, electro and all things electronic are actually better and more up to date than mp3skyline. I was able to find a lot of things immediately that I hadn't been able to find. Also a similar interface and very simple to navigate (although a couple more useless steps to buy the tracks). I haven't tried lavamus and can't comment on genres other than dance music, but if you are looking for an alternative to mp3skyline I highly recommend it.

So, what's the deal with this?

I have read around other forums, etc. and it appears that this mp3exclusive "skyshare manager" is a temporary thing, and that the folks at MP3Skyline didn't have proper backups - so it looks pretty grim at the moment. I don't know if they will ever be back up and running like normal or not.

For those of you wondering what this 'skyshare manager' is, it is a java based "premium file sharing manager". It looks like you get to try it for free, but then you've got to pay to continue using it (I can't see how this relates to MP3Skyline, since we all still have balances there that we'd like to use). While I haven't downloaded it or used it, I can't see why anyone would pay for a filesharing application when there are so many free alternatives out there (Bittorrent, Azureus, etc).

So before you go downloading the "Skyshare Manager", realize that it's not going to suddenly make MP3Skyline work like normal. That is, as far as I can tell, what most people have reported.

Mp3 Skyline now Mp3xclusive

For those of us stuck with Mp3 skyline (mp3xclusive) you may have noticed that the download manager is only a 30 day trial and then you pay for it. I have sent numerouse emails but as yet NO RESPONSE. I also spent an hour searching for music only to discover every track I tried to download was unavailable. The next step is to inofrm Visa that these guys are taking us for a ride. Here in the west we respect good service and competition. You screw with us and we shop elsewhere. Pity really. They were such a great site.

Skyshare really sucks ! mp3skyline was good but suddenly without notice they changed it completely and this is a nightmare. I want my money back.

Pissed off

I got $45 stuck with mp3skyline.com. My 10 year old cousin can make a better program the skyshare manager. Been trying to download songs from mp3skyline since last month without suceess. I tried downloading through skyshare and it did not download anything plus deducted the amount from my account!!, been totally ripped off. I use mp3aim.com now and its a lot better, faster, cheaper and easier to use, excellent interface, very happy with it...all of you reading this never every register with mp3skyline.com/mp3xclusive.com.

MP3Skyline & MP3xclusive Skyshare

Amen, I guess 6 songs is the maximum you can download from this site. That is the amount of songs I have been able to download out of about 30 that I have wanted to download. It has been a nightmare ever since they came back up. Every time I find a song I want to download, it is unavailable and I am prompted to try later. Yeah right., The check is in the mail.Skyshare is not user friendly either, it does hold your history, you can not preview the songs and forget about customer service, I have e-mailed them 3 times and nothing, I have e-mailed mp3xclusive and nothing. Oh well, enjoy my money.

blu6 I FINALLY GOT THIS THING INSTALLED THE RIGHT WAY - AND WENT TO UNINSTALL THE OLD VERSION, IT UNINSTALL ALL MY APPLICATIONS ON MY MAC POWER BOOK, I HAVE SPENT HOURS ON THE PHONE WITH APPLE CARE. THIS DISASTER STARTED AT 5:45AM SUNDAY. I WAS NOT DONE TILL 10PM SUNDAY NIGHT. THE APPLICATIONS R ALL BACK THAT CAME WITH THE MAC ANYTHING ELSE 3RD PARTY IS GONE. - WHO KNOWS IF THERE WILL BE GLITCHES LATER. *** AND DITTO ANYTHING I WANT TO DOWNLOAD IS UNAVAILABLE! *** AND DITTO EMAILED A FEW TIMES NEVER GOT A RESPONSE! experiencing a similar situation with just music aka lavamus - i do not think any of these companies should offer prepaid packaged deals if they cant deliver. they should refund your money. there must be some sort of legal recourse. Sky Manager and MACS

Hi. It's pretty worrying, reading your message about losing all your applications when trying to uninstall skymanager. I have it on my mac. I haven't had any problems yet, and have also been able to start downloading stuff but I'm wondering if I should remove it. Do you have any advice on this? If i don't it says that skymanager is a 30 day free trial and after that it is chargable, does anyone have any info on the charges we would expect after the 30 days are up?? This service used to be great but now it seems a bit dodgy!

Mp3xclusive download

I have been able to download 6 tracks (2 different artists) and then have been told that the remaining tracks are "unavailable at this time." They suggest writing to skysharecc@gmail.com. I have written them twice in two days and have not received a response.

MP3 SKYLINE & MP3SKYLINE

These guys have gone from the best dowload webite around to the worst. The skyshare manager that they use is a nightmare you can't pre listen you can't back space it doesn't keep your previous dowloads it's got a very poor library if and when youd find what you want, you are told you can't download it. if I didn't have any credit left with them I would go and find an other site. no good at all. and off course you can't get any reply from them for the above querries

Right, I have around $60 left on mp3skyline or mp3exlusive.com. It's been over 40 days since the service is down. Then I set up account with mp3aim.com that hosts similar kind of music as mp3skyline/exclusive I like. They even charge $0.15 per track, whatever is a song duration like. You can pre-listen to the song, it's good enough. I think I can say good buy to my left credit when I downloaded skyshare manager for mac and can't install it.There is no response from them either since I sent two emails.

I completely agree with the previous post. That site is really great and high-quality alternative - personally I've never had any problems with downloading there. However, every service has problems sometimes.

I couldn't agree more. I used to love how skyline worked. From downloads, to previews, to navigation. Mp3xclusive is pure trash. Previewing songs does not work. The website says that the serve is currently down and to "check back in while." It's been days and still nothing. P.S: Since when is "awhile" an acceptable time frame? The download manager is extremely lacking. Browsing is a nightmare, there are navigation buttons if you want to go back to a previous page or section. Also, the manager can only browse search queries and not sections. Genre clicking like on the old site does not work in the manager. Not to mention previewing songs in the manager. Also, downloading hardly ever works. Since the site came back up I managed to download 2 files. After that it says that the database is temporarily unavailable. I'm so frustrated because I really like the content the site had and really can't think of another site that can match Skyline's in terms of electro, house, and low-fi. Personally, I can see them losing a lot of customer to this nightmare switch they decided to take. If anyone knows a better site similar to Skyline's, please post.

The best thing I like about

The best thing I like about mp3skyline is that they update their site with new music quickly. Lavamus is my favorite site but it takes them awhile to get the new releases.
