Problems Downloading [Resolved?]

Opened an account recently and downloaded a few tracks OK but now I can't get anymore due to Skylines server being down. Not impressed and have been trying for 2 days without success.

Message from 'Max' of mp3skyline on aom3.org

Having same problems, then saw the following post on the site aom3.org - following url:

http://www.aom3.org/forum/mp3skyline/1831-mp3skyline-homepage-back-word-skyforger-5.html

Needless to say I have sent emails to support@mp3skyline.com, mp3skyline@gmail.com and now info@mp3xclusive.com to no avail so far...

Best regards, James

BTW, just posted same message in another thread on the site but this one looks more ‘active’

hi mates,

as you could have noticed - we're coming back, however not that fast, as i'd like it to be. there's still certain problems which are being solved.

regarding accounts and bonuses: all downloads (e.g. your credit spent on downloads) from 6th February - are confirmed to be completely free. this means that :

1. if you have [b/]NOT[/b] topped up balance after 6th February - your credit is adjusted as it was before 6th February.

2. if you have made an order after 6th February - you will see the credit unspent (just as all downloads were free for your)

3. if you have not ever deposited funds - you will see nothing, i guess

4. several accounts (email logins) from Europe customers might be messed up, so please PM me, if you have paid, but system tells you that no such member found (!essential! - please forward me message you got upon register, this will help me much to restore your accounts)

in the meantime we're still sorting out tons of music, so please keep up your patience, we will be up shortly

thank y'all for consideration, regards, Max / for mp3skyline.com

skyshare manager

it is now Mid April and still can't spend my credits because the library is out dated since the 03 March and if and when you finally find a track to down load, Skyshare won't let you. verry poor

mp3skyline still out March 27th 2008

Does anyone have any update on this latest outage. I've been waiting for 14 days thus far....

Infoscene, I have the same

Infoscene, I have the same thoughts. Rob, can you get an update from them?

MP3Skyline Down

Well I was quite enjoying this site. They even refunded me on a couple of songs that weren't up to scratch, but must admit with money still sitting in my account and it been down now for 13 days I'm getting a little annoyed. I'm a techie and host my own websites etc and really am starting to wonder why its taking them so long to get everything up and running, even if they are shifting to new servers.

ANY OTHER SITE

I love MP3Skyline. What site have you guys been using in the meantime that has the new dance music? thanks

For dance tracks -

For dance tracks - djdownload.com djtunes.com beatport.com juno.co.uk, junodownload.com - You'll have better, more recent tracks and even the artist gets a cut from these sites so you might continue to get great dance tracks to download.

Remember for most Dance

Remember for most Dance tracks you can't make the 'We'll they have been making millions for too long' argument- they aren't Loaded Pop star types- most are homebrew producers that put in a lot of effort- so if you buy one thing legit make it that one good dance track and pay some respect :)

Hope it's fixed soon

I too am an electronic music lover, so you can imagine I've been pretty disappointed lately about MP3Skyline's downtime. I sincerely hope they get it fixed in the next couple of days. It's been far too long for me. =(

mp3skyline

Rob, Thanks for the update. As a techno enthusiast I'd be heartbroken if mp3skyline folded. While I wait I've been using Justmusicstore, but it doesn't have the depth or newly-released material. Carol

Moving Servers, Service Being Restored

I had a chat with the tech support there a couple of days ago, and it looks like they had some kind of catastrophic failure at the datacenter where their hosting is.

He said they said they will be moving to new servers. As of now, they are up and running, but there are some things that aren't accessible yet - most notably downloads.

They also said that they will be compensating people for this issue. They are working around the clock to get the site restored.

So don't worry, things will be back to normal soon :) I am sure it will take some days to get the site back to normal. Just be patient...

MP3Skyline Kaput?

The site is down and the technical support email is returning an unresolved domain name. Looking at some of these older posts I see that there's been some technical difficulties in the past, but nothing quite as 'terminal' as this. With some cash sitting in my account with MP3Skyline I'm a little miffed - but not as much as I'm gutted we might be losing this site, which for all it's foibles is the best MP3 download site that I have used. Anyone know what the story is?

Back up

As of March 11th, they are back up and running. Everything looks ok now :)

Domain resolves

The domain resolves now to a page that says :

We apologize for the caused inconveniences.

Website is temporary unavailable due to technical issues in the Data Centre.
We will be up shortly, please check back in awhile.

For emergency questions please don't hesitate to send us message:

mp3skyline@gmail.com

I would suppose that they had some kind of "real big problem" in their datacenter, but I haven't heard from the tech support yet as to what it was or when they think they'll be back up and running. As soon as I hear back from them I'll post here.

Where is MP3Skyline ?

Same here I've got some credit left in that site. I hope it is just temporaly

Hmm, just google'd them and

Hmm, just google'd them and their descr text reads as follows: "We will be up shortly, please check back in awhile. For emergency questions please don't hesitate to send us message:. MP3skyline.com (c) 2008." so maybe it is just a temporary thing. Not sure what'll happen with our credits though.....

Having exactly the same

Having exactly the same problem going on 3 weeks. My experience is that about 20% of the tracks I'm trying to download are available. Most albums I've tried to download from the catalogue appear to have only 1 or 2 tracks available. I've traded mails several times with the tech support staff, and they say "it will take some time to fix this." Some of the other posts here speculate that the service never has had anywhere near the number of songs it shows in its searches. Seems to be the case... Very disappointing.

Better luck?

Have you had better luck lately? I don't doubt that they have the tracks that they advertise... perhaps the server problems have been worked out by now?
