struggling big time with their downloader. First order only partially delivered after many attempts. Subsequent 1 or 2 track orders can't even get to the downloader (IP address error message).
I'm running Leopard Mac 10.5.5 and the Soundsbox install process looks nothing like the sample screens or written instructions they provide.
I create a folder to download to and then get stuck in a Save loop and nothing downloads.
If the problem is related to Java, there's no solution for a non-programmer like myself. Leopard provides the latest Java support.
Any Mac Leopard users have a solution?
I sent a question to Soundsbox support 6 hours ago and have not received anything back - not even an email acknowledging that I contacted them.
I'm out $20, frustrated and feeling very foolish.
same problem. the first time i ran the soundsbox.jar i could enter Email, Password and Order number choose my music folder an voila - it worked.
The download stopped after 100/180 songs. now i got the same problem as you.
do you already have a solution?
thx

I am having problems with downloads. I have loaded the exe file and have purchased the music. Once I log in and add my order number the download window opens and the songs download in seconds BUT only as 1kb files and do not open or play. I have tried this on a friends computer and the downloads complete perfectly. Soundsbox say this is a problem because my ISP uses a dynamic IP address. My friend's uses the same ISP yet the music downloads perfectly. Any suggestions why this happens on my computer? I only have a windows firewall so I doubt that is the problem
I have also downloaded the MP3's with their download manager. The songs are downloaded within a second or 2, but all of them have a files size of 54 bytes. When opening the files with a text viewer/editor, only this one line is in the file: "ERROR: Song download failed. Security check 2 failed."
Any suggestions on how to download these MP3's? I feel I have been scammed by SoundsBox, but hope to be wrong.
Thanks.
I was impressed with the selection and interface of soundsbox and gave them some money. All was great until I tried to download. I have the latest version of java on the latest version of Mac OS 10.4 and still had problems. The downloader would start and ask for my login and order #. Then it would get into an infinite loop asking me where to save the downloads. I would select a location, hit OK, and then it would ask for the location again. This happened with collections with one song in them or many.
I emailed support and was told:

If any Mac users have gotten this to work please let me know. Otherwise, beware.

Was there ever a resolution to this? I am getting the same loop of "save as" when trying to download music. I can download on a pc then move to a remote drive to get over to mac; but that's a pain.
The ip does not match error means that your last login to the website was with a different ip than the one you are connecting with through the downloader. If you login to the website right before launching the downloader you should avoid this error.
Can you add more details on what exactly what happened / what kind of error you got when you tried to make a download? Also, did you try to get help from the 'Assistance' section on the website (you have to be logged in)?
