mp3skyline seems to have serious troubles

I was never going to register here just to post something bad about any site. But when it comes to loosing money I can't keep silence.

Here is the story.
Following review on sonboom.com site I decided to register and pay on mp3skyline.com.
First days I had no problems. I paid and downloaded some tracks. But during last week I was going to add some more money and had no luck. I kept coming back and saw "store is closed" or "we do not accept payments now" messages. Now I see the message on songboom that they will start accepting payments in 5 days... We'll see...

Here is another problem. Since I still had some few bucks on my balance I tried to use them to buy some tracks.
No luck again. 90% of the tracks that I tried to buy were not available. Every track that I tried to buy brought me "THIS RELEASE WAS DELETED FROM OUR SITE" message.
So now I think that they deleted ALL the tracks from their site (why would they do that?!) or they NEVER HAD them (more likely).

Dear Songboom. Are you sure they really had all these 2mln tracks? Or this was just a fake to bring people and get paid?
Check this out and let us know. mp3skyline support didn't reply to my requests.

Similar Problems with mp3Skyline

As others users are reporting, I have been having issues downloading tracks from mp3Skyline, but some tracks do download fine. And the message screen that comes up when you can't download a track is so ambiguous (and I quote): "Unfortunately this track was removed from our catalogue or temporarily unavailable. It is more likely that we already have the newer version available online. Please try again or use our search to find proper track. We apologize for any caused inconveniences." As noted on a comment I made regarding the problems at the Lavamus sites, I hope these two seemingly separate issues with Lavamus and mp3Skyline are not some indication of a Big Brother shutdown. I get a little worried when two of my favorite download sites aren't working "for technical reasons." Am I just being paranoid?

Some Hope Regarding the Download Problem

I noticed at 11:00 CDT today that the "Apology Message" has changed as follows (and I quote): "Unfortunately this track is temporarily unavailable at the moment. We are performing major re-arranges in our catalogue and we expect to proceed in next few days. please don't hesitate to contact us at support@mp3skyline.com if you require music urgently, we will help you and advise asap. We apologize for any caused inconveniences." My download needs aren't "urgent," so I won't bother them with requests as I'm sure they are probably overwhelmed with straightening this whole thing out. I'm encouraged at least that they are being responsive. Now if this gets resolved and the shopping cart issues at the Lavamus sites can get fixed, my two favorite sites will be back in business again...

MP3skyline : Major maintenance

Hello, mp3skyline support is here.

Just to let everybody know:

We're working hard now and making our best to integrate new payment processor. and yes, we will succeed at last, but please consider this to be a hard work to do. so please give us some time (expecting several days as it stated already) and we will deliver quality services for EVERY our customer, just like we did all the time before.

Regarding "DELETED" releases or somewhat: we're making major re-arranges in the meantime in our catalogue. Again, we'd like to provide the best mp3 download services ever, so please give us some time.

P.S. all our members are welcome to send us track lists that ain't working at the moment, and we will provide proper downloads immediately. Just e-mail us at support@mp3skyline.com and we will sort this out and advise asap.

best regards, mp3skyline.com support

MP3 SKYLINE IS RUBBISH, DOES NOT WORK AND EATS YOUR MONEY

I have been trying to download tunes for the last month and I keep getting a box saying that there is a problem due to network content and every single song I want comes up with this irritating box. I have emailed them 3 times and also 4rth time asking for a refund as I have a lot of money in my account. This all started happening when I downloaded that silly skyshare program of theirs. This site is a lying, cheating and money stealing site. DO NOT PAY ANY MONEY FOR THIS. NOTHING DOWNLOADS. What a load of rubbish! AND why don't they reply, apparently they have a great customer service team, yeah right so where are they now, on permanent leave?????? No wonder they don't have any contact numbers on their website! DON'T USE THEM!!!!!!!

using visa

Hey I keep trying to use my credit card I bought for the soul porpuse of downloading from your site. But you guys won't take it. Why? is it because I only want to spend 20$ I even called my card holders and asked them they said it must be you guys.....

Email me with your mp3skyline username

SkyLine-User - I imagine that the download problems are related to the changes they are making to integrate a different payment processor on the site, but I cannot say for sure. Since I haven't heard of this problem before, I'm guessing that is the case.

I will ask the technical support there about the "DELETED" message you are getting. Also, I can verify that they have over 2 million tracks: by my last count (I downloaded and inspected their database), they have 2,132,706 tracks at the moment. I don't believe they would have tracks listed that aren't actually there just to attract customers - that would be easy to find out.

If you send me an email via the contact form and include your username at MP3Skyline, I'll see what I can do for you (I'll need your username there so that they know who I'm talking about). The support there is generally pretty good; perhaps they are a little overwhelmed with cases at the moment.

they do not work at all

does his login really matter if the site is down and doesn't work? heh..

Yes, It Does

It does matter. The site is not down at all. Please read the above post that the MP3Skyline technical help provided.

If he lets me know his login, I will inform the guys at MP3Skyline, and they can deal with his download problem accordingly.

BS

Honestly, I just signed up for this site hoping to purchase/download some songs that I can't find any where else; and what do I get!? Server Maintenance problems. I should have listened to the blogs!.. I was able to download 1 song, but it was only 384Kb's, so that was the most worthless .35 cents I've ever spent! I went to other songs to download, but I keep recieving the same error as stated above. I think this site a Hoax. The funny thing is that I was thinking hmm.. now why would I want to start purchasing music when I have hoaxes like this out!? I hope they have fun with the $45 I just waisted....

I added 25 dollors to my

I added 25 dollors to my account ages ago and th site opperated perfectly! I downloaded loads of tracks off the site no problem and was loving the selection they had of vinyl stuff. But I knew it was too good to be true cuz and now its crashed. Im more pissed off i lost the website then the remaining few bucks i had still in my account. And also the fact some dodgy russian music website could have my credit details Its been a month nearly and no fix to this problem. I guessing it will never be back up and running

update

I was unable to save files correctly -- FIX: (right click the picture (download, VBR, looks like three grayish arrows pointing down)).. right click, save target as.. save the file to the directory you like. Should download the full version. If you just click on the pic it might not save properly (ran into this several times.)
