For the last few days up through this morning, I am getting the same response on all of the Lavamus sites: JustMusicStore, AllOffMP3, MP3 Legal, iSound (and I quote): "Sorry, but now you cannot buy any tracks by technical reason. Soon this functionality will be open again." I have money in the account (which normally does work on all Lavamus sites), but I can't purchase tracks. I guess I'll wait and see what happens. Hope it's not a "Big Brother Shutdown." I got a little worried since mp3Skyline has been giving me the same response as others have reported for the past few days. By the way, I am able to download some tracks from mp3Skyline, but other tracks give me that "...try again later..." screen. Again, wait and see?
I received an apology and a credit to my account (more generous than what I had technically "lost") and for now, the Lavamus sites seem to be working. They indicated that their problems with slow server response and the inability to download tracks has been fixed. So far, so good. We'll see...
I'm getting the same error, but strangely, the download now link (to purchase the entire album) is working. Even the album that needed encoding eventually finished and was able to be downloaded, unlike the encoding errors the site had recently.
Thanks for that idea. While I'm more of an a-la-carte shopper, I did take your observation and tried it myself on an album I had been considering and it worked for me also. Cool. Maybe it's their shopping cart portion of their site that is not working. I appreciate you sharing your observation. Now if I can just find a workaround for Skyline...
I had the same problem with my password not being recognized. I did the lost password routine, but after waiting a week and not receiving a new password I emailed them directly. They responded within a few days with a substitute. Now if I could just download ...
I put money on accout before the site went down. Saw the site down and assumed that I had lost my money. Saw the site come back up and tried to login using my email and password (I kept my original 'welcome email') just to be told that it doesn't recognise me. Have sent a couple of emails with chapter and verse to a thundering silence.
Am wary of using any of the other sites in case the same thing happens again.
I know you probably already tried this, but did you try the "I lost my password" routine at the site to see if your account is recognized that way? If it doesn't recognize your email address that way, then it could be that you've got a real problem.
It could be that if you registered shortly before they went down that they don't have a recent enough backup that had your account info. That's just a guess, mind you.
If you have the original email I'd bet that they can help you out - let us know if you hear back from them. (By the way, I have an account at JustMusicStore that I used before they went down, and it still works now...)
It lets you log in, and order tracks (paying them money), but have you succeeded in actually downloading anything over the last couple of days, because I haven't...
I have downloaded successfully about 70% of the tracks I ordered.
It looks like the site is up, but not yet fully functional.
I estimate I lost about $4 in failed downloads so far--but--the fat lady is not singing yet, I hope not.
Well,I've tried throughout the last 24 hours without any success. Yes, allowed me to order and took my money but no sign of downloading anything so far..... :(
No its not just you.
Justmusicstore.com has serious problems as of 7/30/2007.
I believe I lost around $6/$10 of downloading. Songs will not encode, songs will not download. Worked for an hour on Sunday--then boom
Emails bounce back. Big mistake giving them as much money as I did. I hope they straighten out there act, because I was becoming a fan and getting over allofmp3.
I emailed justmusicstore.com and got this response (today, 12.08 GMT) which shows some promise - at least they are still monitoring and responding to e-mails (sent to support@justmusicstore.com).
Lets hope everything they have said comes true.
Regards
Jonathan...
Hello,
Sorry about that.
As you have already noticed our site had been performing very weak during last days.
This was caused by several DDOS attacks on our servers. In the result of these attacks our site was not performing well or purchased tracks did not download.
As for now situation is much better. We have moved to another ISP and now site operates more stable.
The only thing left to do is to fix download system.
The tracks you purchased no matter how long time ago they were purchased will be available for download and you will get them with no problem.
Please allow us few more days and we will get back to normal work.
We will contact you as soon as we are done.
Thank you very much for understanding.
